The center’s activities focus on three main areas:

• Research: We are conducting applied and fundamental studies to better map and understand the NGO sector in Romania and to support organizations to understand their areas of intervention and beneficiaries.

• Training: We develop specialized courses and trainings to strengthen the capacity of non-governmental organizations in data collection and analysis, as well as organizational impact measurement and management (SMEs).

• Connector between the academic community and the NGO practice: We reduce the distance between academia and civil society, bringing research-based knowledge closer to practice and providing research services to impact-oriented organizations and companies.

How we approach the activities in the three areas:

• Interdisciplinary research: The center brings together experts from various fields to address in an interdisciplinary manner the contemporary challenges of society.

• capacity development: We support non-governmental organizations in developing data collection and analysis skills, improving measurement and impact management practices, as well as increasing overall effectiveness through training and personalized consulting.

• Research consultancy services: The center offers practical solutions for the design and implementation of studies and analysis customized to the needs and budget of non-governmental organizations.

• Dialogue and Collaboration Platform: As part of our connector role, we act as a platform for dialogue and collaboration between various environments. We aim to facilitate the interaction between civil society, business environment, academia and public decision-makers/institutions, providing a “learning space” where these actors can discuss freely, increasing mutual trust and developing joint initiatives.
