Privacy Policy of the Center for the Study of Democracy Personal Data Protection
We, the Center for the Study of Democracy Association, further ACSD, from Cluj-Napoca, str. Campului no. 242, app. 6, 400686, having fiscal code 31226300, bank account IBAN: RO32BTRLRONCRT00R5050301, opened at Banca Transilvania, we have taken technical and organizational measures in order to comply with personal data against the loss, modification or in order to eliminate the risks regarding unauthorized access.
Thus, the personal data processed by us are in accordance with the legal provisions regarding the protection of personal data and EU Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter GDPR), as it is transposed into national legislation.
The type of personal data – the personal data that will be processed by ACSD are data such as: name, e-mail, telephone number, address. Regarding access to our website www.democracycenter.ro, the collection of this data is done only by expressing them expressly by the user, by completing the contact form, where the user gives his express consent for the collection of the transmitted data. In the event that the user wishes to exercise his rights or any information regarding his rights according to the GDPR, he will contact ACSD at the e-mail address gdpr@democracycenter-backup2.local, to which ACSD will respond within 72h.
Data collection methods are done by: filling in a contact form regarding the request for information/or subscribing to the ACSD newsletter, if necessary.

Categories of processed data – Personal data (surname, name, address, phone number, e-mail address, etc.) are processed by us only if these data are entered by the interested person, in the columns created on our website (eg the heading regarding the request for information/or subscription to the newsletter)
Processing of personal data – means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data or on personal data sets, with or without the use of automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or modification, extraction, consultation, use, Disclosure by transmission, dissemination or provision in any other way, alignment or combination, restriction, deletion or destruction.

A. Newsletter service data:
We process your data consisting of the name and e-mail address for subscribing to our newsletter.
With accessing the website, the option regarding subscription to our newsletter is visible, in which, in order to subscribe, it is necessary to press the “Subscribe newsletter” button.
Following this stage of the subscription agreement, you are asked to enter a series of data about you that will allow us to send you offers and relevant information, as well as to express your agreement regarding the way in which you want us to communicate.
Through this subscription you will benefit from the direct marketing actions specific to our activity segment and through which we will keep you up to date with our products, services and campaigns, respecting the legal provisions in force.
Data usage ceases as soon as you opt out of the Newsletter service. You have the opportunity to give up the Newsletter service at any time and for free by: ticking the “Unsubscribe” option in the newsletter or sending an email to office@democracycenter-backup2.local by which you expressly request Unsubscribe or by accessing the link that will be made available for unsubscribe on our website.
B. Data for requesting information/Communication of information
By completing the contact forms, intended for potential collaborators or partners, you provide us with access to your contact details that we will use to respond to the requests and questions addressed.
C. Social network plugins and the use of cookies
Our website uses “plugins” from social network operators (eg: www.facebook.com). All social network plugins on our website are clearly and distinctly marked.
Through these plugin, the Center for the Study of Democracy Association does not collect / store personal data of the website users. In addition to our users, according to the way the social networks work, there is the possibility that the virtual friends of our users can view our page as a result of the appreciation of our web page.

III. The purpose of data processing
In general, all the collected information is used for the intended purpose, for which you sent it to us, mentioned at the time of collection or in the Privacy Policy. We may use your personal data for one of the following purposes:
– we use your contact details to respond to your communicated requests either by using the contact form or directly using our e-mail or postal address;
– we use the e-mail address you provided us in order to receive commercial information such as newsletters, news, various communications regarding our projects, etc., if you have given your consent in this regard;
