Mădălina Mocan

Mădălina Mocan is an expert and practitioner in the field of civil society, affiliated with the Center for the Study of Democracy. She is also a member of the ProTech platform, a Romanian platform dedicated to combating human trafficking. With extensive experience in developing, coordinating, and advising civil society initiatives on human rights and public participation, her main focus remains the fight against human trafficking. For more than a decade, she has been involved in prevention, assistance, and protection programs and activities, while also conducting research and co-authoring policy papers and training manuals. She has advocated for access to compensation and improved services for victims of trafficking, and has served as a trainer or expert in various regional projects. She is currently an independent consultant in a governmental initiative aimed at strengthening the assistance and protection pillar within the national strategy. She is an Aspen Institute Fellow and moderator, an MMF Fellow, and also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Techsoup Romania.
