George Jiglău is a university lecturer, holding a PhD in Political Science obtained in 2013 from Babeș-Bolyai University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UBB Cluj (2006), a master’s degree in Political Science from CEU Budapest (2007), and a master’s degree in Communication and Multicultural Studies from UBB (2009).

He has authored and edited a series of volumes and articles published in journals both in Romania and abroad, on topics such as elections and electoral systems, political parties and party systems, interethnic relations, energy policies, and the phenomenon of energy poverty.
